Electric control valve is an important execution unit instrument in industrial automation process control. Compared with traditional control valves, electric control valves have obvious advantages: energy-saving (only consuming electricity during operation), environmentally friendly (no carbon emissions), and easy to install (no need for complex pneumatic pipelines and air pump workstations).
Performance characteristics of electric control valve:

The valve body with a straight through single seat has only one valve core and one valve seat, which is characterized by a simple structure, small leakage (even completely cut-off), and small allowable pressure difference. Therefore, it is suitable for situations where clean media with low leakage and small working pressure difference are required. Special attention should be paid to the allowable pressure difference in the application to prevent the valve from not closing properly. There are two valve cores and seats inside the valve body of the straight through dual seat regulating valve. It is compared to single seat valves of the same caliber. Because the force exerted by the fluid on the upper and lower valve cores can cancel each other out, but the upper and lower valve cores are not easily closed at the same time, electric control valves have the characteristics of allowing a large pressure difference and large leakage. Therefore, it is suitable for clean media with large pressure difference at both ends of the valve and low leakage requirements, but not suitable for high viscosity and fiber containing environments.

The parameters that need to be considered when designing and selecting electric control valves include flow rate, pre valve pressure, pressure difference, post valve pressure, and temperature. Firstly, factors such as the heating area within the heating range of the thermal station, the insulation performance of the building, the type of radiator, and the heating temperature of the room determine the heating load of the thermal station; Secondly, the primary flow rate of the thermal station can be determined by the supply and return water temperature of the primary network, and then the flow rate of the regulating valve can be determined; Finally, the pre valve pressure, differential pressure or post valve pressure of the regulating valve can be obtained from the water pressure diagram of the primary network of the heating system and the resistance loss of the heating station, which should be determined according to the actual situation of the heating system.

The adjustable ratio of an electric control valve refers to the ratio of the maximum flow rate to the minimum flow rate that can be controlled by the regulation. During operation, flow changes should be within the controllable range of the regulating valve. The closing pressure difference is the maximum pressure difference at both ends of the valve when the regulating valve is fully closed. If the closing pressure difference of the regulating valve exceeds the allowable range, immediate measures should be taken (such as connecting a series pressure difference control valve) to restore it to its normal range.
