The locator that comes with the pneumatic butterfly valve is the same as the pneumatic butterfly valve, which is prone to malfunction after prolonged use. Below, we will analyze the common faults, main causes, and solutions:
Fault 1: Leakage in the amplifier air circuit
Reason: The cam connection is loose and not tightened, and the feedback component is loose and not tightened
Solution: Tighten the amplifier screws. If the diaphragm is damaged, replace the fastening cam connectors. Check the feedback screws and fix them tightly
Fault 2: After the signal is given, the valve stem action is slow and the amplifier charging and discharging are not matched.
Reason: Insufficient supply pressure of the gas source, small output flow of the pressure reducing valve, poor contact of the nozzle baffle, improper adjustment of the balance screw, and air leakage in the actuator chamber or diaphragm.
Solution: Increase the pressure of the gas source appropriately and increase the flow rate of the pressure reducing valve to ensure good contact between the nozzle and the baffle. Adjust the balance screw appropriately and find a professional to solve the problem of air leakage in the actuator.
Fault 3: There is a gas source, a signal, but no output
Reason: The positive and negative poles of the signal are reversed
Solution: Connect the wires correctly
Fault 4: Constant throttle hole blockage, torque motor short circuit
Reason: Poor contact of nozzle baffle
Solution: Make sure the nozzle is in good contact with the baffle and unclog the orifice to identify the cause of the short circuit and resolve it.
Fault 5: Valve position exceeding or lagging after given signal
Reason: The feedback link fulcrum position does not correspond to the range adjustment, and the zero point adjustment is improper. The magnetic steel demagnetizes.
Solution: Adjust the position of the feedback rod accurately, use the range knob to adjust the range, use the zero point knob to adjust the zero point, and replace the magnetic steel small stroke valve oscillation double acting actuator oscillation.
