A compact electric wafer V-port ball valve is a V-port ball valve that uses a wafer-style connection and is equipped with a compact electric actuator. Its ball has a V-shaped notch cut into it; when the ball rotates, it creates a wedging shear force against the seat, effectively cutting through fibers and particles, preventing valve blockage, and providing a self-cleaning capability. The wafer-style connection offers a compact structure, small size, and light weight; during installation, the valve is clamped between two flanges with bolts, making it suitable for pipelines with limited space. The compact electric actuator provides precise rotary control, supports 4-20mA or 0-10V control signals, and enables automatic regulation, remote control, and position feedback. Its flow characteristic is approximately equal-percentage, with a typical rangeability of 100:1 to 300:1 and high regulating precision; the sealing form can be selected according to working conditions as either metal hard sealing (high temperature resistance, wear resistance) or PTFE soft sealing (good sealing performance, corrosion resistance). In terms of main technical parameters, nominal diameter is generally DN25 to DN300, nominal pressure PN10 to PN40 or 150LB to 300LB, applicable temperature -29°C to 350°C (depending on sealing material), connection type is wafer-style, actuation is electric (compact electric actuator; pneumatic or manual also available), power supply commonly 220VAC, 380VAC, or 24VDC, input/output signals 4-20mA or 0-10V, common materials include carbon steel and 304/316 stainless steel, leakage class for hard sealing can reach Class IV and V and for soft sealing Class VI, and design standards cover GB/T 9113, ASME B16.5, ISA S75.04, etc. The valve is widely used in petroleum, chemical, papermaking, wastewater treatment, power, metallurgy, and pharmaceutical industries, especially for flow control of media such as pulp, sludge, and particle-containing slurries. When selecting, it is necessary to choose the appropriate body material, sealing form, and electric actuator based on medium characteristics (such as corrosiveness and whether particles are present), temperature and pressure, flow range, leakage class requirements, and control signal type; during installation, it should be noted that for wafer-style valves the flanges at both ends must be properly aligned and the bolts evenly tightened, the valve should be installed upright on horizontal pipelines with sufficient space reserved for the actuator, and there should be no welding slag or other debris inside the pipeline; among common faults, leakage at the packing or flange can usually be solved by tightening nuts or replacing gaskets/sealing rings, while valve core sticking is mostly caused by impurities or insufficient actuator torque and requires cleaning or actuator replacement, and electrical faults such as no response or incorrect position feedback are usually related to wiring, signal settings, or limit switch adjustment.
