Application Fields of Pneumatic Flanged V-Type Ball Valve The industries served include energy, petrochemical, metallurgy, chemical engineering, mining, pulp and paper, environmental protection, biochemical, pharmaceutical, petroleum, electric power, dyeing and printing, light industry, food, tobacco, sugar refining, beverage, and other various fields. Product Introduction of Pneumatic Flanged V-Type Ball Valve The V-type flanged ball valve is a specialized variant of the standard ball valve. Its closing member is a hemispherical body with a V-shaped notch. The V-shaped opening has a sharp shearing edge. During the rotation of the ball, the wiping action between the closure members ensures strong cutting capability for the medium. The V-shaped opening of the ball and the valve seat flow path form a sector-shaped flow area. During rotation, this flow area can be varied, enabling precise flow regulation. This makes it an angular rotary control valve, while its sealing performance remains comparable to standard ball valves. Therefore, it combines both regulating and on-off switching functions. When paired with a pneumatic or electric actuator, it is widely used in industrial process automation control systems. Product Features of Pneumatic Flanged V-Type Ball Valve 1.Integral valve body structure. Both the wafer and flanged types feature an integrally side-mounted body design. This offers high structural rigidity, effectively preventing deformation and external leakage. 2.Self-lubricating bearings (top and bottom). The valve is equipped with self-lubricating bearings at both the top and bottom of the shaft. These provide a large contact area with the valve stem, resulting in high load-bearing capacity, low friction coefficients, and reduced valve operating torque. 3.Versatile seating options (metal hard seal or PTFE soft seal). Depending on the medium and operating conditions, the valve seat can be selected as either a metal hard seal or a PTFE soft seal. The metal hard seal seat features a hardfaced sealing surface (alloy overlay), while the ball surface is hardened via chrome plating, spray welding, or ion nitriding. This significantly extends sealing face life and increases temperature resistance. The PTFE or reinforced PTFE soft seal seat offers excellent sealing performance and corrosion resistance, adapting to a wide range of applications. 4.Cost-effectiveness. The valve body is lightweight with low stem torque, allowing for a smaller-sized pneumatic or electric actuator compared to other control valve types. This provides a high cost-performance ratio. 5.Broad media adaptability. Due to the shearing action between the V-shaped opening and the valve seat, combined with the smooth, rounded internal flow path, media accumulation within the valve cavity is minimized. Therefore, besides liquids, it is particularly suitable for systems containing fibrous materials or solid particulate matter. 6.Precise low-flow control. By implementing specialized V-shaped notch machining on small-bore valve cores, precise control at low Cv (flow coefficient) values is achieved.
