The opening and closing member of the Z41W stainless steel gate valve is the gate. The movement direction of the gate is perpendicular to the fluid flow direction. The gate valve can only be fully open or fully closed. It cannot be used for regulation or throttling. It is only used as an opening and closing device on pipelines to connect or shut off media in the pipeline. The gate has two sealing surfaces. The most common mode is that the two sealing surfaces of the gate valve form a wedge shape. The wedge angle varies with valve parameters, typically 5 degrees, and 2 degrees 52 minutes when the medium temperature is not high. The gate of the wedge gate valve can be made as a single piece, called a rigid gate; or it can be made as a gate capable of slight deformation to improve manufacturability and compensate for deviations in sealing surface angles during processing. This type of gate is called an elastic gate.
